Linda’s career spans 30 years, including 12 years’ communications and marketing experience in the private sector in South Africa. She spent eight years with Saab AB as head of marketing communications and eighteen with the South African Air Force, working directly with key stakeholders and in an advisory capacity focused on protocol issues. Her specialisms include government communications, internal communications, media management and large-scale event management.
In 2010, Linda was appointed to manage a new public relations and media relations start-up company for McCann Worldgroup South Africa. Four years later the team joined forces with Weber Shandwick and since then Linda has provided reputation management, strategic and crisis communications, media and event management counsel for a number of key local and international brands across the consumer, education, financial and technology sectors.
Client experience includes, Bafana Bafana, Brand South Africa, Dentons, ExxonMobil, Harvard University, Isuzu Truck South Africa, Kauai, Land O’Lakes, Limpopo Treasury, Lloyd’s of London, Nedbank, Nestlé, North-West University, Ocean Spray, SA-UK Season 2014/2015, SA-French Seasons 2013/2014,Telkom SA, United Nations Development Programme and Sandton City for which she delivered the multi award-winning campaign, The Empty Shop.
Currently, Linda is the chair of the Public Relations Institute of South Africa’s (PRISA) accreditation council and serves on the PRISA Board.
